Peer-to-Peer Lending Dapp Experiences/Recomendations

Has anyone had a successful trial of a peer-to-peer lending dapp?

I've seen plenty of articles but haven't talked to anyone that has used one.

I'm interested in developing tools for helping lower-income and developing-world populations pool resources and would love to learn more about real-world experiences.
