Another one bites the dust

PSA – Gridlock Wallet is effectively shutting down. This probably doesn’t affect you.

Hi all,

I’m the founder of Gridlock, a distributed MPC wallet. Unfortunately, we’ve decided to stop maintaining the product, and over time we expect the app’s functionality will degrade as our RPC providers update or shut down endpoints.

This is a very sad and disappointing time for me and the rest of the team. We spent many years building something we truly believed in, but never got enough people interested in using it. So now it’s time to move on. We’ve done our best to set things up to work indefinitely, or fail gracefully if not. If you still have funds in Gridlock, now’s the time to migrate to another wallet.

P.S. While there are no plans to further improve the app, the code is open source. If you’re curious about MPC or want to build your own personal distributed storage network, check out the Gridlock Network GitHub repo. It’s a great starting point for anyone with even a limited technical background.
