Is this a trend to move to NEAR now?

Looking at the drastic transaction fee difference ($15-$50 on ETH vs $0.01 on NEAR which is also L1), according to the article https://medium.com/@UrsolAlex/why-i-chose-rhea-finance-over-uniswap-a-users-journey-to-cheaper-faster-defi-b622b5ec08fc, I don't see how to justify Eth to my dApp users. L2 is a paid in a butt, I forget which network I have my data on.
