Coinbase Help

Hi, hopefully this doesn't break any rules nut I need help. I received a fake looking email "from coinbase" and I want to make sure nothing nefarious is afoot. I don't remember ever having a coinbase account but after I received this email, I attempted to reset the password with the account associated with my email on the coinbase website and it acted as if I had one but I never got the email to reset my password and the website wouldn't let me create a new account. I'm awaiting an email from coinbase support but I wanted to see what y'all think because you're likely more familiar with coinbase than I. Thanks.
