Accessing Old Wallets

So back in 2017, I was in college with "free" electricity so I decided to set up my desktop to mine ethereum. I used Ethereum Wallet (Mist?) as my wallet, and I was able to successfully sync it to the blockchain at the time. Now I am struggling with the application. It does not seem to connect to the node despite the correct version of geth (1.8.23) being in the AppData folder. I downgraded to v0.10 of the wallet which was able to connect but could not find any peers. I was however able to import my old wallets, but because I could not sync, they showed as empty. So I am just uncertain of what to do to access my old wallets. Can I get some help?
