Should I stake?

I’m very new, apologies if this is a no-brainer.

Should I wait for it to go back up, or is my thinking wrong? It’s worth like 3240 right now, if i stake right now will my investments stick at that price or will the price change as the value of the coin changes even after it’s been staked? As i write this i am realizing it sounds kind of dumb but i just want to make sure. Thank you! You guys seem pretty chill.
