Moving ETH to an L2 chain

So I got some ETH from long ago on Metamask. I used it for some purchases and now I have only about $20 worth of ETH. I want to move it (via Polygon bridge) to an L2 chain and swap it for other tokens but the gas fee is just too high. Any advice on how to go about this would be greatly appreciated.
