I’m an Australian who’s totally, utterly new to the world of all crypto currencies, including Etherium. I was wondering if someone could give me some pointers/reccomendations on Crypto Exchanges dealing in Ether?

I'm looking to buy and later sell tiny amounts of Ether just to see if I can make a few dollars off it for fun. To do this, I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) I need to set up an account/portfolio with a Crypto Exchange, one that deals in AUD (I imagine many of the dominant American exchanges only deal in USD, correct me if I'm wrong).

It's a big world out there, there's a million and one different exchanges all telling me how they're the best, and that I should pick them. Could anyone give me some pointers/reccomendations? Thanks

(For context, I understand fundamentally how Etherium differs from Bitcoin, I understand what Gas prices and GWeis are, I'm vaguely familiar with "burning" Ether, and the way Ether supply gradually decreases over time. And I understand you can pay real money for a set fraction of Ether, and later sell that Ether yielding more/less money than you put in – depending on when you sell)
