I may have found an Ethereum scam, but I’m not sure.
YouTube recommended this video to me:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHih3G3tOVo
"Run this script, and you'll make 0.54 ETH every 12 hours!"
Seemed like a trick to make you run a script that would just give a scammer access to your wallet. I decided to scroll down and read the comments. 100% of them were positive, but I did notice a few instances of an identical comment being posted:

All of the accounts posting these identical comments were Russian. Many of the channels were empty, but some were populated by mysterious videos:
https://www.youtube.com/@worldfreel.a.v.2462/videos
1 minute of a beach, 1 minute of an owl, 1 minute of a rock formation. Feels more like someone trying to create the appearance of a YouTube channel, rather than anything a person would upload with the intention of entertaining an audience.
Between the sketchy attempt to make the viewer download and run a script, the identical comments, and the fake channels, I feel safe concluding that I should not follow the video uploader's instructions and run his script. However, with that said, I do wonder two things:
- What does the script actually do?
- Is the principle in the uploader's video actually feasible? Could you really generate passive income as he's describing, or is it complete bullshit?
I'm hoping that someone more knowledgeable about Ethereum than me can shed some light on the subject.
