But of staking education

I've been holding and using ether for about 1 year now and am really enjoying enjoying ease of use for transactions and also the money I'm making from the coins I am holding. I am hearing a lot about staking but I don't know much about it. Can someone point me in the right direction for some good info on ether staking please. Thanks.
