Radix L1 will perform 1M TPS with fully sharded and with full atomic composability. This January 2024. A first for blockchain tech.

For starters. No other tech can do this.

As a professional software developer for over 15 years, what i'm seeing here, is nothing short of impressive

Lately i have been researching the technology stack of Radix DLT.
It seems they have taken a very thorough and research based approach to solve the blockchain trilemma.

Their main net went live a few months back called "Babylon". This is currently running at 50 TPS, and will function as a warm-up to their Xian update in 2024 which enables a fully sharded network.
This coming January, the team has announced that any community run validator can sign up to be a part of the 1M TPS test.

Normally TPS in an isolated vacuum is not too interesting.. But this test is interesting because of following factors:

  1. Run by community validators.
  2. Full composability
  3. Fully decentralized

So what does full composability actually mean?

Well, when you have a sharded network, its like have multiple blockchains running in parallel on each validator, the problem is.. What if you need to make a swap in a dapp this is currently on shard nr. #245.. while you are lending capital from shard #27, and finally depositing it all into a yield vault on shard #1780.

That's 1 transaction. All those things, happening in 1 TX across unlimited amounts of shards. When a blockchain can scale linearly, it means, anytime demand increases, we just plug in a new validator and increase throughput with it.
This is just one small interesting thing that the Radix DLT is doing.

They made their own programming language specifically for building defi products. It's called Scrypto, and its based on Rust.

They built a very innovative mobile wallet, which will set ecosystem standards going forward.

They built a component blueprint catalog, where developers can use market tested components from other developers, while paying royalties to those for use.
