Tezos is the real deal???

Just read this article on r/tezos, and am a bit confused. One of the claims by the article, as well as those in the comments, is that wrapped tezos tokens will kill ethereum by increasing the interoperability of the tezos network.

Does this make sense?? Don’t wrapped tokens increase the interoperability of the ethereum network? Isn’t that a positive for the ethereum blockchain, not a negative? Maybe I misunderstood? Can someone please explain?
