Would you still be interested in crypto even without the profits?

Does crypto just mean a mansion and lambo for you or are you actually in it for the tech? Lots of people say they believe in the projects and the tech but would you actually invest if there was no real big money to be made. I feel like most of us saw the early success of crypto and are hoping for another bullrun to make us rich but what if that never happens? Will you still use crypto? Would you actually want it to become the future of finance or is that just something you say hoping that bitcoin will reach a million dollars one day?
