to this day, i don’t understand ETH gas fees…
to this day, gas fees confuses the f*ck out of me.
I wanted to shift my ETH position from one vault to another with higher APR. goggled the GWEI at the moment, its 50, convert to ETH and then convert to USD, ok its acceptable. went back to the website where i want to shift my position, give permission, payed $3, cool, withdraw, payed $25? wtf? ok i guess…
now let's deposit on the new vault. oh by the way, i got "heres a new metamask feature: set maximum fee spending cap" cool, put down 0.05, payed couple $s, accepted, now the actual deposit: "$1895 GAS FEE! you don't have enough eth for the transaction" or some shit like that…. like WTF just happened here?…
i was about to give up. but then i tried again, this time i set the maximum gas fee as the max i had in my account. "gas estimated fee: $3,48" like dawg…
what happened here? someone has like an youtube link or course or something so i can learn and stop feeling dumb in these situations? this frustrates me.
thank you
