Just started using Loopring for L2

I just connected my wallet to Loopring in an attempt to bring ETH gas prices down. What I noticed is that I need to deposit ETH into this L2 version first before I can get trading. Unfortunately, when I try depositing an amount, it locks 0.0057 ETH away. Is this a normal expected amount for transferring from L1 to L2? Just want to get a general consensus on the gas price. Also, what other fees can I expect, once I transfer ETH into L2.
