Crypto will do to banks what Napster did to the music industry.

I remember downloading my first mp3 and thinking how cool it was even though it took for ages. At the beginning it was only a minority of people who were involved and general public had no idea that you could get music without buying a CD full price in the stores.

But it caught on quicker than expected and music industry was left scratching it's head having completely missed out on how the market changed.

Fast forward to today and new business models have emerged with streaming and subscriptions, the market is unrecognisable.

I think crypto is currently in the post Napster stage banks still haven't caught on to the revolution that is happening and are slowly jumping on to the bitcoin bandwagon as an investment but they aren't fundamentally changing their vision of the new financial market that is emerging.

In a few years time things will change a lot and not necessarily in the way we expect today it is to hard to predict, but I strongly believe that we are at the beginning of something big!
