Most politicians that want to regulate crypto have no competitions and tech knowledge to do so. Why let people that barely can use computer regulate crypto?

I don't think we need bunch of crypto "scientists" to regulate things, but there definitely should be minimum to open your mouth and talk anything in terms of crypto regulation. If person knows nothing about crypto they should stfu and never be allowed near crypto regulation, cause they have no competitions to do so.

If you are not electrician you don't install electrical installation cause you will most likely burn the house. If you are not a doctor you don't regulate medical procedures, if you have no idea about dancing you shouldn't be a judge in dance competition. Seems logical, and in normal life no one ever will let you do things if you have no skill, education or at least basic knowledge to do so. But US Senate or other governments are special… They whole time decide about matters they know about less that average teenagers.

After I watched Tik Tok CEO Shou Zi Chee testified few weeks ago in US Congress I lost any left faith in competitions of US senators regulating things. Questions asked to him embarassed me and I am not even US citizen. Instead giving Tik Tok CEO hard time senators asked so stupid questions that I felt sorry for him. It weren't even real questions, rather like trying to explain what internet is to 80 year old grandma. Some of my favourite question asked Tik Tok CEO were: "Does tik tok control your home wi-fi?" or "If I wear headphones can Tik Tok read my thoughts?". Questions asked by US senators, supposedly highly educated and very well paid people, not some random tin hat, I remind you. If senators don't even understand what wi-fi is and that no one can read your thoughts using headphones or even at all, then how are they supposed to be in Commision that is literally about using tech and social media to endanger US citizens data… Level of tech knowledge in government is below average and some of those questions prove politicians on top positions can't use even basic logic and common sense too. And most scary is the same people will probably be first to voluntarily join comission that would regulate crypto.

People that regulate crypto should have their tech and crypto knowledge tested. Most senators have literally zero qualifications in tech or anything crypto related. Crypto should be regulated by crypto investors, blockchain developers, miners, users and people that have knowledge how it works, use it and are up to date with all info. If you want to regulate crypto you should welcome people like Vitalik Buterin to decide on that not some old politicans that should retire decades ago.
