How to identify quality ETH-based projects?

So, I really love exploring the crypto world and finding fun crypto projects to invest or participate in (not that big of a trader because I'm too focused on my irl job rn). For only the past month, I've seen dozens of them being announced as THE "project that will change the crypto world", but the majority of them simply feel sketchy or underwhelming.

My question is – how do I identify quality ETH-based projects that have substance/value and are developed by renowned devs? I made a list of the ones I liked the most so far, so if it'd be easier, you can help me by picking the ones from the list that make the most sense:

– Ember Sword

– Crypto Idle Miner/NFT City Miner

– DeFi Land

– CryptoKitties

– Decentraland
