To the parents on this sub, do you invest into crypto for your kids?

Hi guys

A parent of a 7 year old girl here, and obviously into crypto, have been around since 2014 back in the days of selling goods to China and that being a good way for them to pay got me into the space!

Around 2-3 years ago I started to invest in BTC and ETH for my daughter, I am not sure anywhere else in the world, but in the UK you get around £80 a month from the government for child care, now obviously this is supposed to help with things for your child, but I am doing fine in life so the £80 since day one has always gone into her savings bank account up until the time frame I mentioned earlier…

It has added up pretty quickly, obviously she doesn't have a full BTC or anything, but does have a decent portfolio for a 7 year old!

I was wondering if anyone else does this, the money we put into her bank becomes less and less due to inflation etc, so that is why I decided to move it to BTC and ETH, I think this is a better option for her in the future, obviously she will not be able to access the funds until I say she is wise enough to do so, but it should help buy a car and university etc…

Also before people jump in and say "you are gambling with her money and future" No, no I am not, it is not like we take the money and that is it, every month from my business I put money into her bank and the money from the government is a little side investment into something I believe will work out in the future, if it does not and goes to 0, she will be absolutely fine!

I personally think it has a lot more potential than just saving money for her in a standard bank, even though her account is an ISA and she gets like 2% a year, it really isn't great, I mean in the 7 years she has been alive, the amount in her bank has gone up, but its not worth as much as it was even 2 years ago….

Let me know if anyone else does this, quite curious to know! Its pretty fun having a 7 year old every now and then pop up with "how is my Bitcoin doing dad" haha.
