The Ethereum Family Conundrum

I get that a lot people in this sub are all in on Ethereum, but I have to ask this question:

Why do Ethereum holders treat the relationship between Ethereum and Ethereum Classic as a non-zero sum game?

If I had lots of profit or interest in Ethereum, I would most definitely want to put a portion into Ethereum Classic since it will become the base layer of the Ethereum family once Ethereum moves fully to L2 (PoS).

I know people associate ETC with its past, but I think it’s time that Ethereum fans also start supporting the lesser known member of the family as it will benefit both coins going forward!

I welcome any thoughts about this!
