Need help with binance bridge

So I am trying to transfer Smart Chain Eth to Regular ETH using the binance smart bridge – connected to metamask.

I cann connec the wallet, it finds my wallet with my Eth in it, but when I enter the amount of Smart Chain Eth I want to transfer it tells me i dont have enough gas, pretty much for any gas price except 0 – even if i dont put all of my ETH to transfer.

Is it possible that I can only pay the gas by using "proper" Eth – which i dont have – or should it also be possible to transfer by having the smart chain eth in my wallet? Is it something else that I am missing?
