I still don’t understand the value of Ethereum, but I desperately want to. Please correct my wrong assumptions.
I understand that like Bitcoin, it can be used as a digital currency and store of value. I understand that unlike Bitcoin, it can run arbitrary code since it's Turing complete. Therefore, it can create and run decentralized applications and smart contracts. I get it.
But what does it address in the market that isn't already addressed by a simpler, established solution? Privacy and trust is already solved with cryptography, and I cannot see how NFTs are anything but a scam. What concrete problems does Ethereum solve?
Please give answers that aren't self-referential and compare to other crypto. I would like to hear how it will generate actual value in the world.
