Weatlhsimple just relased STAKING? can anyone explain what it is and if I should use it on wealthsimple?

my main fear is that if I STAKE, will I still get the gain from the value of eth if it changes?

example : I stake 10ETH coin at 10 000$ for 100 000$ USD worth of ETH, I get a 3% yield at the end of the year to around 3000$ USD worth of ETH.

if the ETH goes from 10 000$ to 15 000$ during that year, do I still get the gain ? or was my coin "frozen" at a price while staking?
