Sorry if this is a dumb question, but is there a way I can stake without giving up my keys? And if I do decide to stake, is there a way to unstake if I change my mind?

I've been considering staking for a while now, because it's occurred to me that if I don't, I'm essentially destined to see my eth value decrease due to inflationaey effects, right?

But I do stake, I'm worried about giving up my keys. I've lost coins before because I did not self custody, so I may have a little PTSD. 🙁

Can anyone help? Is there a third possibility I'm not considering?
