I’m sure you’ve heard about the newbie who turned $500 into $90,000 in weeks but you rarely hear about the bloke that flipped $60,000 into $400.
It's not just poor investment choices, you also don't hear about people who bought into coins where you can't sell or have no liquidity. Not to mention hacks, scams and the like.
Don't beat yourself up for missing out on profits, you may have instead missed out on heavy losses.
Winner bias is a part of human nature driven by greed. Always invest without emotion, invest with your head not your heart. Chasing your losses is the worst kind of greed.
I'm second in guy in the title, ask me anything. I lost it all in a combination of ways. This financial year I'm calmly DCAing a small amount of pay check in preparation for the next bull run. I'd just be happy to recover my original investment!
EDIT: A few people have referred to a previous upvoted post. I wouldn't even know to how to look up an upvoted post. I'm writing about my personal experience and frustrations. With a hope to help others avoid my pain.
