The merge will trigger a huge wave of wasteful energy usage

After shutting down my miners i’ll have to turn on my house baseboard heaters this fall/winter. Ugh. All that wasted electricity required just to make some heat. At least with pow mining I get some coins out of this same process.

I should submit an EIP to make ETH run on POS in summer and POW in winter.
