Noob Question About Eth Decentralization
Hi all! Relative newcomer to the community and holding, but I had a question:
When Ethereum moves to proof-of-stake, my understanding is that those who hold 32 ETH will basically replace miners as the validators of the blockchain. The barrier to 32 ETH is obviously fairly high right on, and is only likely to rise. It seems probable we reach a point where only the ultra-wealthy could possibly have that much.
This seems antithesis to the idea of decentralization, and instead moves us towards a system where only the select wealthy will be in charge of things. What am I missing here?
