Days like this is one of the many reasons you shouldn’t tell people how much you’ve invested.
Chances are if you’re telling people how much btc you have or how much you’ve recently bought and tried to convince them why it’s such a great idea, the majority of your audience don’t understand crypto.
When it rises 20% they won’t see news headlines and think “hey, remember john bought loads of btc. What a smart guy”.
But when they see news headlines about btc (and crypto in general) crashing they WILL suddenly remember and say “haha remember John spent all that money on bitcoin, now look how much he lost, what an idiot”.
They won’t care when it rises, they won’t understand what the next halving means, they won’t see the future potential. They will just see you as the stupid guy who lost his money on “magic internet money”.
And remember for every “friend” that wants you to win, there are probably 3 that want to see you fail, it’s human nature, don’t give them ammo.
Keep it personal. Treat it like you’d treat your bank account. Don’t brag when it’s up.
The higher the horse, the harder the fall.
