What just happened to the gas price?

Does anyone know what happened here? I first thought I had a bug in my program. Then I checked etherscan: edit (since the question seems unclear): I am wondering what caused people to suddenly spend thousands of euros for a single transaction. Was there a short sharp price movement? Was there some launch of any big project that people tried to front-run each other like there is no tomorrow? submitted by /u/Jump2Fly |
