Getting fucked in crypto is a rite of passage.
I hear people accidentally mistyping gwei amounts and sending way more than they should, sending to the wrong address, buying high and selling low, and getting liquidated. If you just experienced something you call getting fucked at, don't worry. It's more common than you think.
I remember my first time dipping my toes in crypto in mid 2020, and poor paper hand me tried day trading several times. I panic sold. I didn't DCA. Every single time I sold at a loss, and it was gut wrenching. So I learned to HODL and I've been in the green ever since.
A while ago I was tinkering with DeFi and I wanted to use Uniswap, unbeknown to me the absurd gas fees. I tried swapping $50 of ETH I had on my Metamask wallet for USDC and play around with USDC trading pairs. I was left with $18 of USDC. Consider myself lucky since, hell nowadays it costs over $100 to swap. But yeah I felt stupid.
I'm way more knowledgeable and self conscious now that I learned from my mistakes. Thanks to this sub I learned to send dummy transactions to make sure I am sending to the right address.
The way crypto is set up makes mistakes way too easy to make especially as a beginner and they can be punishing. Full of potholes anyone can fall into. If you ever got fucked in some way that your loss made you feel like you got punched in the stomach, consider that a rite of passage in crypto, and you learned the hard way to get experienced. No one is perfect and you should respect that.
