How to send AAVE from crypto.com to Metamask polygon network

I have Aave in crypto.com that I want to send to AAVE and earn some interest. If I want to withdraw Aave from crypto.com I only have the Ethereum network and polygon network is not yet available for this coin. I'm I able to send it via the Ethereum network to polygon since Matic is a lvl 2 for eth, or will I have to send or to Metamask Ethereum network then send it to the Matic network?
