Intentional Hashrate Drop

Hey everyone, I'm mining on an old laptop with a 1050 4gb.

While plugged in, I get about 6 MH/s with about 70-75 C temps.

I unplugged the power to do a little cable managment and my hashrate dropped to 4 MH/s, which is logical. What seemed weird is that my temps reduced all the way down to 52 C (which is f*ckng amazing on a laptop).

I think it might have to do with a power saving setting. Is there any way to intentionally cause this powersaving action to activate while the laptop is plugged in?

If I'm going to kill this old boi with some mining, I better make it last with lower temps.
