Question regarding minting NFTs on Etherium blockchain using your own website and Metamask API.

I have a question regarding Minting NFTs on your own website and wondered if anyone here can help:

How much does ti cost to mint NFTs on the Etherium blockchain through you own website and metamask? Finding really contradicting information on this matter – some say the buyer pays gas fees and that's all while at other places I see that you need to pay around 0.66 ETH for minting a collection (about 10K).
