Are any cryptos still “untraceable”

Harking back to the early days of Bitcoin, a big thing about it was the transactions were supposedly “untraceable,” which is why it got used in the dark web so much.

Obvs tech has moved on quite a bit, and I wouldn’t like to bet that BTC is that untraceable now, even with mixing.

Are there any coins that are known for still being untraceable? I’m not planning to do anything illegal I was just curious since it used to be such a big factor in crypto. Now with it going more legit and all the exchanges requiring ID and everything it seems a few of them would be useful for covering your arse. Monera gets mentioned a lot?

Anyway, I open the floor to somebody who knows what they are talking about :p
