A Mining Question NOT ABOUT PROFITS FOR ONCE!

Let me start with this…

If you're in with Ravencoin purely for profits, more power to you but this thread isn't about profits. I genuinely believe in the coin and what it has potential to do, and making some money on the side is just a perk, not the reason I mine.

So my question is, in your guy's opinion, what's the best way to help the network?

As far as I know, there are 5 ways to do so:

1. Pool mining
2. Solo mining
3. Set up a node
4. Set up your own mining pool
5. Actually use the network to send and recieve RVN/assets.

Right now I'm only a miner, delving in pool and recently solo due to decreased difficulty. Between those two options, is any one helping the network more? Or is it just a long as a block gets solved at every opportunity we're golden?

Setting up a node, I know there are resources out there, can someone link them to me? I want to explore setting up a node.

And lastly, how hard is it to properly set up a pool? More miners means more security, correct?
