Question regarding eth 2.0

I feel like this has been answered here but i can't find a simple reply to this. I have some Eth but 'apparently' Eth 2.0 will come out in june. What does that mean? Should i just stake my eth to 2.0 or just keep it as it is?

Is eth 2.0 a different coin or the same thing? Whats the point of staking to 2.0?
