Reinstalling Electrum (For Ledger) On New Device

Hi!

I am reinstalling electrum right now on a different computer and trying to discern how to set it up (its been a good while since I first did). When I run the install wizard I create a new default wallet and then I assume I would then import the private keys. My question is if the private keys are different than the ones native to my ledger or if they are the same? I apologize for the noob question, but want to be sure I am doing it correctly as well as not "entering keys" into unauthorized places.
