Can’t HODL forever. What is your exit strategy?

I have been thinking about this constantly since buying into crypto. I have (what I think is) a solid buying strategy that I am happy with but I have no idea on what my exit strategy should be.

Most of the advice given on this sub is to HODL… HODL until when though? Until you have enough to retire early? Standard retirement? Until the coin x10 or x100? 5 years? 10 years?

Was thinking of a hypothetical situation if one of my holdings massively pumped, would I stay for the "tech" and/or for the potential further gains (I sold a bag of ETH at 2.3k AUD and regret it) or would you cash out and look to buy in again at a later date and hopefully after a dip.

I am sure everyone has different goals but I am keen to hear them all to come up with an exit strategy of my own.
