There were 26k blockchain projects launched in 2016 — 92% are now dead

So, you like to invest in shitcoins? Don’t be surprised if you lose everything.
A report by Deloitte found that in 2016 there were over 26,000 blockchain-based projects launched on GitHub.
The report shows that by 2017, only 8% of those 26,000 projects we’re still active in terms of development.
Today there are 16,000 cryptocurrencies listed on CoinMarketCap. Chances are that MOST of these will be abandoned/rug-pulled or won’t achieve meaningful scale.
It’s important to note that the report found that blockchain projects developed by blockchain organisations, rather than individual developers were almost twice as likely (15%) to remain active.
Be careful what you invest in anon.
