Legality of trading items in a game for RVN

Hello, I've been slowly learning more about the world of NFT and I was wondering , would this kind of transaction(title) violates most user agreements with game companies? Is this a thing that NFT could be used for? Is this a risky thing for getting hacked or scammed?

I apologize if this is a silly question. I just think it would be nice to exchange coin for some cosmetics that I can only gift.
