How do I sync faster?

I googled it and this YouTube video recommended I download a snapshot and start the sync from there. I did so but the website shown is very outdated and I am still 2 years behind. It has been a little over 8 and a half hours since I started from the snapshot. Is there another website with a more up-to-date snapshot or is there some other way completely? At this rate it's going to take a long, long while.
