NFT Royalties

Hi everyone. I am an artist in the process of creating some NFT art for a client. This client will create a series of 10,000 unique NFTs based on my art, mint them, and sell them on. How do royalties in this situation work? As far as I understand it, its the person who actually mints the NFTs is the one who will receive royalties (in this case, my client). How can I ensure I receive royalties when negotiating contract?
