I’m pretty sure I lost my ETH by cancelling the transaction, it never returned back in my account…

It was with small amounts just to experiment. Send 4.34$ with 60 gwei, got stuck due to low gwei. Today from the same address I sent it, I send again 0 ETH with 85 gwei and it did cancel the first transaction. However the 4.34 never came back to the account.

Why is this happening, I'm super confused??
