Ravencoin mining?

Im trying to mine ravencoin using 2miners guide and nbminer. I added my wallet to rvnstart and started it. Is this really it? all i have to do? i keep checking wallet address and it says i have to send a share first? im kinda confused! thanks guys ive looked for tutorials but maybe im just a little dense lol
