ETH miner here looking at my next coin, i just have one question about an interesting article i found.

I like to do a bit of research before jumping on another coin, everything looked good until i found this article about hackers basically printing RVN out of thin air?, i tried to find a reddit thread about it to see if i missed something but i couldn't find one, anyone got an explanation to put my worries at ease?
