USDC Question

Hey All,

I hold so ETH and a few other coins, and I was just reading into USDC, which seems awfully stable, given it's name and nature.

I'm curious if it's actually worth holding though? Like what are it's real uses and utilities? I guess I'm somewhat confused about how it operates with other networks or coins out there?
