Will eth2.0 remove need for matic sidechains

As the title says. Polygon(MATIC) is supposed to be a layer 2 scale up solution because POW is so slow. But with mainnet moving to POS, and adding rollups with beacon chain and ZKP, is polygon going to add much benefit? Or can they continue to be used side by side to process even more transactions?
