3080 TEMPERATURES [MUST READ] [MODIFY CARD FOR HIGHER MH RATE]

If you mine with a 3080, and your power limit is pegged at <65%, then look no further.

For the last couple months, my 3080 has been mining at 104 °c -106 °c on the memory junction temperature with very limited MH rates.
I was aware that replacing the thermal pads on the memory was a tangible modification, but relatively hesitant due to the fact that the card is new and pulling it apart may void warranty.

Tonight was the night, and the outcome far exceeds my expectations.
If you are stuck at limited power with high memory junction temps, you need to do this on your 3080.
Even if you think your handiness skills aren't adequate, I promise you this is so easy.

After replacing the thermal pads (linked here) using THIS walkthrough, I have gained 10mh on my card, and my temperatures have never looked better. I have dropped 30 ° c off my junction temp, my fans only run at 75% (rather than 90-95) and my clock speeds are stable.

If you already are aware of this modification, then awesome, sad I didn't do it earlier.
However, if you are having this issue – it is absolutely mandatory!
