Ravencoin kawpow miner bricks system?

So on this page: https://guru.ravenminer.com/doc/ravencoin-mining-software/ I downloaded the KawPowMiner v1.3.0, and then executed the file called kawpowminer.exe. PC locked up, had to hard reset. Upon resetting, I can never get a video output. I've reseated every single component of the PC, tried different outputs on my video card, and still can't get anything. No bios screen, nothing.
