In the last 24 hours, 85,494 traders were liquidated on their positions, which add up to over $383M. In the context of cryptocurrencies, forced liquidation happens when the investor or trader is unable to fulfill the margin requirements for a leveraged position. The biggest single liquidation happened on a BTC trade with a value of $2.72M $144.78M were liquidated on Bitcoin. $40.39M were liquidated on Ethereum. $24.1M were liquidated on XRP. The rest were liquidated on various altcoins. 53% of the trades were short positions. That means that $204M were liquidated on short positions, and $181M on long positions.
